OCWA Earns "Best Drinking Water"
OCWA tap water is locally sourced, treated and tested each day and only costs one cent per gallon, making it safe and cost effective to drink. Tap water also is the most environmentally friendly water to drink as it uses less energy and produces less waste than bottled water. On top of that, OCWA water was recently judged the “Best Tasting Drinking Water” in New York State, recognition the Authority has received for two consecutive years. This year, water from OCWA’s Otisco Lake Water Treatment Plant (WTP) took the first-place prize.
